Automatically Print Incoming PDF Files

FolderMill is designed to work unattended without any human intervention. The main idea is to monitor incoming folders (called “Hot Folders”) for new documents, and auto print them from a Windows folder according to predefined actions. To accomplish this task, you should configure the Print Document action and assign it to a Hot Folder.

Below is a step-by-step instruction on how to automatically print PDF files in a folder.

  1. Download and install FolderMill;
  2. Open FolderMill Control Panel and create a new Hot Folder;
  3. Specify basic Hot Folder settings such as Source (Folder / FTP / Email) , file mask, and folder for processed files;
  4. Add at least one Action to associate it with this Hot Folder. Click Create new Action Set and choose Print document;
  5. In Print Document Action settings, select the necessary printer, number of copies and adjust other settings;
  6. Click OK and then Apply changes;
  7. Start FolderMill Processor by clicking the Start button;

Now all documents appearing in the incoming folder will be printed automatically.
